Why Mar Lee?

From its beginning in the merger of eight one-room school-houses, Mar Lee School has preserved a tradition of attention to the individual student in a nurturing and supportive environment.  Mar Lee school was founded in 1963 when small school-houses in the southern Michigan townships of Marengo and Lee were merged at the present campus.  Mar Lee provides a strong academic foundation from Kindergarten through eighth grade. The school provides a well rounded education, focusing on participation, service, and responsibility.  Mar Lee’s success is demonstrated in the strong performance of students in the state assessment program and in the outstanding performance of its graduates at the high school level.
