The Mar Lee School District is an independent school district serving students in grades kindergarten through eighth grade.  The district is located in northeast Calhoun County in Marshall, MI.  For the 2004-2005 school year 316 students were enrolled in the school.

    The district employs 21 instructional and 21 support staff. With a pupil-teacher ratio of 14.9:1 and an average class size of 20.8 students, the school has established an excellent foundation for providing quality educational services to all.

    Mar Lee School celebrated its Fortieth Anniversary in 2003 The district was created from eight one room school houses and opened in November, 1963. The tradition of the one room schools remains with the district which strives to provide both a strong academic foundation as well as a well rounded education which focuses on participation, service, and responsibility.

    The quality academic program strives to provide needed educational services to each student in the district. This individual focus is another of the traditions that the district is founded on. The success of this approach is evidenced in the continued strong performance that the district has in the state assessment program. The students that graduate from Mar Lee do exceedingly well at the high school level as well.

   Although Mar Lee is a small rural district, we are proud of the variety of educational programs and services that we offer our students. These include:
